Clinical Services is the overarching umbrella under which CPRI offers highly specialized community and centre based assessment, treatment, and consultation, interdisciplinary services for children and youth age 2-18 years with complex emotional and behavioural disorders. CPRI Clinical Services provides short term residential services for children and youth 7 – 18 years and  generalized outpatient services based on client, family and community needs.

CPRI SERVICE/PROGRAM

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Child Development Program

Medical management, developmental programming and family preservation for children who are developmentally delayed/disabled with medical fragility and/or technology dependence and their families.

Pervasive Developmental Disorders Program

The Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD) program is community and center based, providing assessment, treatment, consultation and support to children up to the age of 18 with a diagnosis of PDD, their families and the community. 

Dual Diagnosis Program

Community based and residential interdisciplinary services for children up to the age of 18 with developmental and psychiatric or behavioural disorders.

Brake Shop

Community based service for children and youth age 6 to 18 years with severe behavioural concerns or intermittent Explosive Disorder with a diagnosed tic disorder.  Provides specialized assessment, treatment, consultation and community education.

Bipolar Clinic

Services are provided to children and youth age 6-18 years who are suspected of having early onset Bipolar Disorder.  The clinic uses researched assessment and treatment tools.  Provision of education to communities as well as participation in research.

Selective Mutism

Services to children and youth aged 3 to 18 years who have restricted speech in one or more settings for at least two months and have demonstrated capacity for speech.  Providing assessment, consultation, education and participation in research.

Supporting Early Experiences for Kids

Community based program providing intensive services for high risk children age 2 to 6 years who are exhibiting significant behavioural and emotional problems.

Urgent Response Intervention

Service to allow for short term urgent admissions of patients currently in active treatment at CPRI.  Admission should be consistent with the treatment plan and dependent upon availability.  The co-ordinated access process is actively involved before admission and discharge.  Services the entire CPRI catchment area.

Sexual Behaviours Team

Comprehensive assessment concerning sexual behaviours for inpatient clients at CPRI.  Trauma assessment and sexuality education can be provided.  Consultation to community regarding assessed child/youth provided.

Attachment Disorders Service

Community and centre based consultation and assessment for children/youth ages 2-18  with a focus on disturbance of attachment, attachment disorders, or a history of traumatic and/or disruptive life events.  The child and youth also experiencing difficulty in relationships, behaviour, and emotions requiring extensive management to the child/youth home/living environment.  Consultation occurs through multidisciplinary team approach providing case specific assessments and provision of education.

Emotional Disorders Service

Diagnosis, consultation, treatment, education for children and youth 2-18 years of age with a developmental delay and a mood disorder, anxiety disorder or psychotic disorder.

Home Visiting Program for Infants

An early intervention program in the counties of London/Middlesex, Oxford, Elgin, Perth, and Huron for infants (and their families) up to age five who are at risk for or have developmental or physical disabilities.

Homeshare

 

Specialized placement/treatment program in which children who are developmentally disabled, medically fragile/technologically dependent and/or dually diagnosed, are placed with families on a full-time and long-term basis in London and surrounding counties.  The program is voluntary, and natural families remain legal guardians.  Homeshare services are provided in the counties of Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Lambton and Haldimand-Norfolk.
